What is GOTS Certification?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria along the textile supply chain. The standards and requirements adhere to the 17 UN Sustainable Development goals.

GOTS ensures that
- ‘Organic’ labelled textiles have at least 95% organic fiber and ‘made with organic material’ have at least 70% of organic fiber
- Environmental standards are met, including correct environmental management of wastewater treatment, adherence to water and energy conservation measures, and prohibition of hazardous chemicals
- International labor standards are followed, ensuring fair wages and work hours, safe work conditions, and the prohibition of child labor, among others
- Records of the supply chain are maintained to guarantee integrity throughout the production process
- On-site inspections are completed by Third-Party GOTS accredited Certification Bodies
